Subject: Pretty hot show, so-so sound
Although the epic spring '09 tour might have set a new standard for what to expect when the core 4 unites, it doesn't mean their efforts from previous
...
years haven't produced some glistering gems.
Here is a hot MSG show. A fiery up-beat 1.set and a more trippy 2. - just as it should be - with "Tommorow Never Knows", "Dark Star" and "The Other One".
Great atmosphere, Susan Tedeschi provides a nice feminine touch and Jimmy Herring produces several ripping solo.
A decent B+ aud., really a typical 'bootleg'. Both Bob's guitar and especially Phil's bass are way too low in the mix, where guitar and organ features (too) prominently. And there's some cut in "Space".
Recommended though for all dead heads.
